PGYBA
2024 Knights
Intent to Tryout for 13U AAA & 15U AA
Outline & Expectations
All players who intend to try out for the following 13U (2011/2012) and 15U (2009/2010) PGYBA Knights teams must register their intent by no later than February 14, 2024.
This requirement does not guarantee the player a roster spot but allows PGYBA to determine interest and skill levels to determine how many Knights teams we will field per a division in 2024. The player must include the level they played at in the 2023 season.
Playing at a certain level in 2023 does not guarantee a player a roster spot on the same team for the 2024 season.
Objective: PGYBA’s objective for the 2024 Knights season is to field one team at the 15U level and a minimum of two teams at the 13U level.
Upon receiving interest and commitment levels for the 2024 season, evaluations will be scheduled between February 29 and March 18, 2024. PGYBA will be selecting independent evaluators for the 13U division. Evaluators will be non player parents/coaches from within the baseball community selected by PGYBA.
Thereafter PGYBA will name 12-15 players for each team based on player ability and coach availability. PGYBA will assign coaches after the teams have been formed and players assigned. These teams will be named no later than March 15, 2024 and published on the PGYBA website.
Expectations: Players registering their commitment for PGYBA’s Knights teams acknowledge the full commitment requirement of minimum 2 days per week of practice, and 1 – 4 games per weekend within the province. Seasons can span from early April to mid August depending on the team and league results.
